Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Wagmist ("we", "us") collects when you visit our site or place an order, and what we do with it. The short version: we collect only what we need to fulfill your order and stay in touch if you ask us to, and we never sell your information.

This is the readable version. The full legal policy, kept current with the law and shown at checkout, is our Privacy Policy; where the two differ, that one controls.

Information we collect

• Order information. When you check out, our payment processor collects your name, email address, shipping address, and payment details so we can process your payment and deliver your order.
• Email address. If you join our email list, we store the address you give us so we can send you the emails you signed up for. We use Klaviyo to manage our email list and send those emails, so the details you sign up with are stored with Klaviyo on our behalf (see the Klaviyo Privacy Notice).
• Mobile number. If you give us your mobile number and tick the box to get texts, we store it so we can send you the text messages you agreed to, such as offers and order updates. Klaviyo stores it on our behalf and sends the texts.
• Device information. Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically logs basic technical data such as your browser type and IP address to keep the site running and secure.
• Cart contents. Your cart is stored by Shopify so it's still there when you come back, and is used only to complete your order.

Cookies

Our store sets cookies for the things a shop can't work without — keeping your cart, keeping you signed in, and remembering that you've dismissed a banner — and Shopify sets its own to keep checkout secure and to measure whether the site is working. Where we advertise, we also use measurement cookies and pixels from the advertising platforms we buy from, so we can tell which ads led to an order and show our ads to people who have already visited us. You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings, though the cart and checkout will stop working properly if you block them entirely.

Payments

Payments are processed by Shopify on Shopify's secure checkout pages. We never see or store your card number. You can read how Shopify handles your data in the Shopify Privacy Policy.

How we use your information

• To process and ship your orders, and to send you order confirmations and tracking updates.
• To respond when you contact us about an order or a return.
• To send marketing emails, but only if you signed up for them. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes effect immediately.
• To send marketing text messages, but only if you opted in. Message frequency varies; message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any text to stop, or HELP for help, and opting out takes effect immediately.

Sharing your information

We share your information only with the services required to run the store: our payment processor (Shopify Payments), our email marketing platform (Klaviyo), the supplier and shipping carriers who receive your name and address in order to pack and deliver your order, the advertising platforms we measure our ads with, and our website host. We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone.

We will not share your mobile information or opt-in consent with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All other categories, such as text messaging originator opt-in data and consent, will not be shared with third parties.

Data retention

We keep order records as long as we're required to for tax and accounting purposes. If you unsubscribe from our emails, we stop emailing you right away, and if you reply STOP to a text, we stop texting you right away.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time to show you the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it (except records we're legally required to keep). Email us at support@wagmist.com and we'll take care of it within 30 days.

Your state privacy rights

If you live in California, Colorado, Virginia, Connecticut, Utah or another state with a consumer privacy law, those laws give you the right to know what personal information we hold, to have it corrected or deleted, and to opt out of its sale or of targeted advertising. We do not sell personal information. To opt out of advertising measurement, or to use any of the other rights, email the address at the end of this policy and we'll take care of it. We won't treat you differently for asking.

Children

Our products are for adults, and the store is meant for the adult doing the buying: orders, accounts and the email list are for people 18 and over, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has given us their information, email us and we'll delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll post the new version here and update the date at the top.
